Sims Metal buys and processes end-of-life metal items, which are then sold as raw materials to steel mills and secondary smelters. Sims is the beginning of and the end of the circular economy. Recycling and reusing obsolete metal in manufacturing saves energy, reduces the use of natural resources, and cuts down on emissions of greenhouse gases.
Sims Metal has been a member of the Richmond community for over 37 years. They support many local community groups and are a partner with the City and the neighborhoods on clean-up events.
