SUMMARY:2022 International Women's Day Recognition
DESCRIPTION:Sisters in Solidarity Supporters and Friends\,\n\nInternational
Women’s Day is on March 8th. The theme for 2022 is #BreaktheBias. This
year will mark the 15th Annual Sisters in Solidarity International Women
’s Day celebration. Due to the pandemic and the challenges it causes wit
h event planning and everyday activities\, we are going to join the Intern
ational Women’s Day campaign by encouraging individuals and organization
s to facilitate and promote virtual activities. We regret that there will
not be an in-person or virtual event\, but we are happy to share ideas and
activities to celebrate IWD.\n\nSocial Media Campaign - Imagine a gender
equal world.\n\nIndividuals and organizations are encouraged to post pictu
res while holding the 2022 BreakTheBias pose to their social media pages.\
n\nHere is how J. Take a picture in the 2022 Themed Pose by crossing your
arms to show solidarity. Post your picture on your social media using #IWD
2022 #BreakTheBias #SIS2022 and tag the SIS FaceBook Page. Refer to the at
tached for more details.\n\n\n\nPlease make sure that you post your pictur
e on or before March 8th and try to keep it up for the entire month of Mar
ch to celebration Women’s Day and Month.\n\nIn lieu of an in-person or v
irtual celebration\, we are asking our friends to participate in the Socia
l Media Campaign. Our Planning Committee will post a video to acknowledge
IWD and encourage others to do the same. We will reach out to our Communit
y Partner Organizations and former Table Hosts to invite them to facilitat
e virtual Lean in Circles to strategize on ways to Break the Bias in 2022.
\n\nWe hope that we will be able to resume our in-person celebrations in 2
 023. In the meantime\, we would like to express our gratitude for your con
tinued support in uplifting women and recognizing International Women’s
Day. More information to come.\n\nIn Solidarity\,\nSIS Executive Committee
