SUMMARY:SBA Contracting: Veteran Contracting and HUBZone Program
DESCRIPTION:\n\nEvery year\, the federal government awards a portion of con
 tracting dollars specifically to businesses owned by veterans. Also\, smal
 l businesses owned by veterans may be eligible to purchase surplus propert
 y from the federal government.\n\nThe HUBZone program fuels small business
  growth in historically underutilized business zones with a goal of awardi
 ng at least 3% of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies 
 each year. Joining the HUBZone program makes your business eligible to com
 pete for the program’s set-aside contracts. HUBZone-certified businesses
  also get a 10% price evaluation preference in full and open contract comp
